To celebrate Scottish Gas’ front of shirt sponsorship of the Scottish women’s rugby team for the Women’s Six Nations tournament, 2024, and to drive support and attendances for the home fixtures against England and France, these three life-size statues were produced of Fran McGhie, Donna Kennedy and Lisa Thompson.

Each of three talent were scanned by our 3D scanning team. Once the 3D files were cleaned up and processed including logo enhancement for greater visibility, our 3D printing and Modelmaking teams assembled the 20-30 sections per statue into the highly realistic, detailed and smooth finished figures.

The statues, produced from 100% recycled plastics on timber plinths, were installed in Castle Street, Edinburgh for the press launch and at Murrayfield for the home fixtures for fans to enjoy and learn more about the individual profiles of these celebrated players, past and present.
